History of Eagle’s Pointe

Eagle’s Pointe has been part of the Bluffton community since the late 1990s. The community’s documented development history dates back to 1997, when the original covenants for the Eagle’s Pointe residential subdivision were recorded in Beaufort County by Centex Homes.

Residential construction and the opening of the golf course followed around 1998. The golf course was designed by Davis Love III and became one of the defining features of the community, winding through natural Lowcountry scenery, wetlands, lagoons, and mature trees.

Eagle’s Pointe was planned as a residential golf community with a Property Owners Association serving the residential neighborhood and a separately operated golf course. Today, the golf course operates as a semi-private golf course, serving golfers from throughout the region and Eagle’s Pointe residents who enjoy the course and its Lowcountry setting.

Over time, Eagle’s Pointe grew into an established neighborhood of 249 homes, centered around a lake and supported by resident amenities including a swimming pool, pavilion, fitness center, playground, tennis, pickleball, basketball, bocce, and community gathering areas.

From its early development through today, Eagle’s Pointe has remained a friendly and affordable Lowcountry community known for its convenient Bluffton location, natural setting, neighborhood activities, and strong sense of community.

As Eagle’s Pointe continues to move forward, the community remains proud of its history and committed to preserving the character, appearance, and neighborly spirit that have made it a special place to call home.
